NasとWu-Tang Clanのジョイントツアー「N.Y. State of Mind」が終了したばかりだが、NasのステージDJのDJ Green Lanternは新しいミックステープで盛り上げ続けている。DJ Green Lanternは、Hip-Hop界のレジェンドとのツアーに触発され、NasのライムにWuのビートを組み合わせた、又はその逆の手法で「Wu York State of Mind」を発表した。

『Nas、Wu-Tang、Busta RhymesとのNew York State of MindツアーでDJをしていて、とてもインスピレーションを受けたんだ。』とDJ Green Lanternは語っている。『ある時、ツアーで味わっているこの夢の体験を、みんなの為に形に必要がある。このDJ Green Lanternがミックスした夢の体験こそが、「Wu York State of Mind」』と続けた。

N.Y. State of Mindの日程には、ツアー開始の数日前にツアーのスペシャルゲストとして発表されたBusta Rhymesも出演しています。また、Busta RhymesはGreen Lanternの新曲 『Busta Money Beef 』にも参加しています。

Bustaは、Green Lanternがプロデュースした2008年のGrand Theft Auto IVの楽曲『Where’s My Money』の歌詞を、Mobb Deep、Nas、Raekwonの1995年の名作『Eye For An Eye (Your Beef Is Mines)』にかぶせたもので、このジョイントもまたGreen Lanternの作品です。
